Revenew International's Core Values

  • Financial Performance
  • Employee Acknowledgment
  • Customer Service
  • Community Engagement
  • Personal Development

The Role

The Director of Business Development position presents a significant opportunity for the right individual to contribute to the company’s growth strategy. The selected candidate will be tasked with identifying and cultivating new strategic business relationships for Revenew's core contingency services. This role will encompass business and relationship development aimed at driving revenue growth. In alignment with the company’s values, financial outcomes, rather than mere effort, will determine success in this position.

The Business Development Director will report to the Global Vice President of Business Development and will collaborate closely with the C.E.O. and C.O.O. to enhance client relationship development, customer service, and revenue generation.

Success in this role will require a well-established network of relationships within the industry sector relevant to the candidate’s expertise, particularly with companies generating over $3 billion in revenue. While connections at any executive level are advantageous, key relationships should primarily be with Supply Chain leaders, Procurement Officers, CFOs, Controllers, and Internal Audit executives.

The company aims to leverage its impressive client testimonials and long-standing relationships in the Utility and Energy sectors to facilitate the expansion of its core services into additional industry markets.

The Business Development role offers an exceptional income potential. A competitive starting salary will be provided to allow for a suitable onboarding period and initial revenue generation within the first year. Following this, the role includes a substantial ongoing base salary complemented by a generous commission structure based on revenue performance, with no earnings cap. Typically, securing a major client results in ongoing revenue, provided the account is managed effectively. Current Business Development Executives across various sectors have achieved remarkable compensation levels in a short timeframe, with expectations that successful candidates can earn upwards of $500,000 annually, with unlimited earning potential.

In addition to the financial incentives, the Business Development Executive will collaborate with a highly skilled team of professionals. Revenew prioritizes hiring exceptional personnel who are motivated by outstanding customer service and satisfaction. The successful candidate will work within a small company framework, allowing for a direct and noticeable impact on the overall financial performance of the organization. Over time, there may also be opportunities for equity participation in the company, with high performance potentially leading to future management roles.

Key Responsibilities

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for:

  • Leading the relationship development process within the candidate's industry sector – Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Automotive, Mining, and Industrial Manufacturing.
  • Driving revenue generation efforts.
  • Creating proposals, pricing strategies, and negotiating contracts across all Revenew service offerings.
  • Conducting market research to identify additional client targets for auditing services.
  • Developing and maintaining an effective sales strategy and call schedule.
  • Pursuing account targets and sales leads to secure appointments and present Revenew's services, utilizing appropriate staff resources and technical support.
  • Closing deals, facilitating contract signings, and managing the implementation and ongoing coordination of client agreements.
  • Assisting Revenew staff in engagement start-ups, planning, due diligence, and problem-solving as needed.
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with key client stakeholders and decision-makers, employing appropriate engagement strategies.
  • Contributing to the creation of new or enhanced presentation and marketing materials.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Business Development role should possess:

  • A robust network of executive-level contacts within potential client organizations in the chosen industry sector, typically exceeding $3 billion in annual revenue.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, a sense of urgency, and a strong commitment to customer service in pursuing new accounts and conducting business.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Exceptional networking abilities, with a natural talent for developing client relationships at various organizational levels.
  • Attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Proven consultative selling skills.
  • The ability to establish trust and become a valued advisor to client decision-makers and influencers.
  • A willingness to travel 40-60% of the time.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to present and engage with clients to identify business opportunities and maintain ongoing relationships. Customer relations skills are critical, particularly in managing interactions between the client's commercial and technical teams.

Performance Expectations:

• Quickly assimilate knowledge of all Revenew service offerings and sales strategies.

• Initiate aggressive sales outreach and appointment-setting in the first quarter.

• Effectively manage and cross-sell existing accounts that may be assigned.

• Successfully secure 1-2 new significant accounts within the first six months.

• Achieve the addition of at least 2 new significant accounts by the end of the first year.

• In subsequent years, maintain a minimum expectation of adding 6 new significant accounts annually.

• Contribute positively to the overall team environment.

Pre-Employment Screenings:

Revenew is committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace. All employees and contractors must successfully complete drug screenings prior to commencing employment. Additional pre-employment screenings include a comprehensive background check and completion of onboarding documentation.

E-Verify:

Revenew participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm your eligibility to work in the U.S. If E-Verify cannot confirm your work authorization, Revenew will provide written instructions and an opportunity to resolve the issue before any employment action is taken.
