Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified After-School Program Facilitator to join our team. As a facilitator, you will work with elementary and middle school students, providing social-emotional learning and enrichment activities such as STEAM. You will lead lessons designed to increase excitement about learning, assist with homework completion, and ensure student safety during outdoor activities.

Responsibilities
  • Motivate students through social-emotional learning and enrichment activities
  • Lead lessons designed to increase excitement about learning
  • Assist with homework completion and snack distribution
  • Effectively manage student behavior with minimal assistance
  • Ensure student safety during outdoor activities
  • Work effectively with staff and embrace professional development
  • Serve as a positive role model to build kids' self-esteem and emotional wellness
Requirements
  • Ability to speak fluent English and Mandarin
  • Experience working with elementary and/or middle school kids
  • Ability to implement engaging lesson plans while maintaining accuracy and organization
  • Effective support for kids' behavioral management needs
  • Ability to connect with students and foster positive learning experiences
  • Comfortable utilizing online platforms for training and resources
  • Collaborative skills with school administrators, parents, and fellow coaches
Additional Requirements
  • Must be Bilingual in Mandarin and English
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States, complete and pass a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening
  • 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching, child development, or other child-focused experiences preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Willing to follow COVID-19 protocols outlined by the school
Work Environment

Candidates must be able to engage in the following activities with or without an accommodation:

  • Occasional running and other strenuous physical activity
  • Ability to move safely on irregular and or uneven terrain regularly
