Job Title: Finance Manager - Law Firm

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at Lexitas Legal, a prestigious boutique law firm. As a Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports to senior management and partners.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and IOLTA requirements.
  • Manage all accounts payable and receivable transactions, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Oversee the annual budget process and partner with functional leaders to develop budgets.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly closing processes, including reconciliations and financial analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow and bank transfer needs, working closely with the COO.
  • Manage retainer, billing, vendor, and user data in our financial systems.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis, modeling, and special projects.
  • Become a subject matter expert in Power BI, ProLaw, and other firm financial platforms.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and IOLTA compliance requirements.
  • Advanced skill level in Excel and ability to rapidly adopt new tools and systems.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills, combined with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Self-driven with the ability to anticipate work needs and take the initiative to follow up and follow through with minimal direction.

Salary Target: $100K-140K, with potential for higher compensation for the right candidate.
