Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Ethicist to join our team at MD Anderson Cancer Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in ethics consultation, educational efforts, policy recommendations, and research activities under the direction of the Executive Director of the Section of Integrated Ethics in Cancer Care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ethics consultations and provide expert guidance to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to promote ethics awareness and best practices among healthcare staff.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to ethics and patient care.
  • Collaborate with research teams to design and implement studies on ethics-related topics.
Qualifications:
  • Terminal degree in ethics or a related field, such as philosophy, bioethics, or healthcare administration.
  • Experience conducting ethics consultations and holding the HEC-C credential or willingness to achieve the credential within 1 year.
Additional Information:
  • This is a regular exempt position not eligible for overtime pay.
  • Work location is onsite at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
