Commercial Finance Analyst

We are seeking a high-caliber Commercial Finance Analyst to become part of the Travel Partnerships and Media (TPM) division. TPM plays a vital role in managing Expedia Group's key relationships with leading global airline, lodging, and car rental partners across more than 200 countries.

An exciting opportunity has emerged to join the TPM Commercial Finance team, specifically supporting the Trips (Air) group within TPM. This essential position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Commercial Finance, serving as a crucial business partner to the team overseeing our significant airline partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in commercial negotiations with airline partners in collaboration with the Air (Growth) Commercial team.
  • Collaborate with the business to identify opportunities for enhancing processes, commercial agreements, customer experience, and revenue growth.
  • Share best practices with team members to improve coordination and communication, fostering team success.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly management reports, variance analyses, trend analyses, and financial review documents.
  • Investigate data issues proactively and analyze unusual trends or variances.
  • Act as the primary contact for communicating updates and addressing queries from stakeholders, ensuring timely responses and investigations.
  • Encourage further investigation and interpretation where necessary.
  • Utilize business intelligence (BI) tools to derive deeper insights into the business.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses as requested by business partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related technical field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Accounting, Finance, or Audit; Public Accounting experience is advantageous.
  • Strong Excel skills: capable of building models, simplifying existing formulas, validating data sets for accuracy, and troubleshooting errors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with various management levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and identify key drivers or unusual variances.
  • Proven capability to work independently while managing multiple projects, prioritizing effectively, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to think creatively and identify alternative solutions as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort in being a subject matter expert.
  • A relationship builder, exceptional listener, and team player.
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments.
  • Ability to thrive in large, global, fast-paced organizations.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $66,000.00 to $92,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $105,500.00, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance.
