Job Title: Ship and Weapon Systems Specialist

R&P Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Ship and Weapon Systems Specialist to join our team in support of designing, developing, and integrating the U.S. Navy's Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) hypersonic weapon system.

Job Summary:

The CPS Program Engineer will be responsible for supporting the CPS Program office in development of CPS design solutions. This includes providing weapon system and ship system design and integration support, participating in programmatic and technical meetings, and developing technical reports and briefs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide weapon system and ship system design and integration support to the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Program office.
  • Participate in programmatic and technical meetings to plan, prepare, integrate, and execute CPS weapon systems installations and tests.
  • Support, advise, and assist the CPS Program Government Employees performing systems engineering, detailed design, technology transition, interface design, and systems integration tasks.
  • Develop technical reports, briefs, and presentations for technical reviews and executive level meetings and events.
  • Support the planning, execution, and documentation of design studies and evaluations.
  • Review, comment, and provide technical advice to the CPS program office on technical documentation submissions from prime contractors and other developers.
  • Provide engineering and technical support and advisement regarding problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for cost, schedule, and technical issues.
  • Provide weekly reports on significant issues and actions.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and at least five (5) years of professional experience.
  • OR a master's degree in a relevant engineering field and at least two (2) years of professional experience.
  • OR at least eight (8) years of demonstrated experience in Navy weapon systems/platform integration and Systems Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5-years experience providing engineering support to U.S. Navy Systems Commands, or Strategic Systems Program organizations.
  • DOD SECRET Clearance.
