Service Technician for Commercial Laundry Solutions

This Service Technician position is centered around the maintenance and repair of commercial laundry systems for the organization’s direct distribution team. The role necessitates diagnosing and executing mechanical and electrical repairs on a variety of commercial laundry machinery across diverse business settings such as fitness centers, laundromats, healthcare facilities, and hospitality venues. Building strong relationships with clients is crucial for the company's expansion, where your positive demeanor and dedication to work are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair commercial laundry machinery (On-Premise Laundry & Vended)
  • Install replacement components as necessary
  • Accurately record all service activities, including time and materials used
  • Document travel activities meticulously, including mileage and fuel expenses
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding repair work to guarantee satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the service manager, parts department, and suppliers for precise task completion
  • Maintain tools, service equipment, and the service vehicle provided by the organization
  • Assist installation teams with equipment setups and deliveries
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to ensure seamless department operations

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of mechanical repair experience; experience with laundry equipment is advantageous
  • Basic understanding of electrical testing instruments and/or diagnostic/programming tools
  • Experience in customer support via telephone and email dispatch systems is beneficial
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Strong mechanical aptitude to identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues

Travel Expectations

  • Considerable travel within the assigned service area
  • Potential overnight travel for special projects

Standard and Physical Requirements

  • Position involves various physical activities and manual dexterity
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Role includes regular computer-based tasks requiring close focus adjustment
  • Valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record are mandatory
