Work Schedule:

The Cath Lab operates from 6:30 AM, with options for 4-10 hour or 3-12 hour shifts, Monday through Friday. On-call duties are required.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe and therapeutic care, respecting the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and physiological assessments, adapting to evolving patient data.
  • Customize care practices to meet individual cultural, ethical, and spiritual needs.
  • Ensure efficient care delivery by prioritizing immediate patient needs and problem-solving effectively.
  • Assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, preparing sterile fields and managing instruments.
  • Administer medications, including moderate sedation, under physician direction.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot various medical equipment, maintaining quality assurance records.
  • Delegate patient care tasks appropriately and participate in staff assignment adjustments.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or a Cardiovascular Technology/Radiology Technology program.
Experience: 1-3 years in an interventional Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab, or equivalent critical care nursing experience.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required; must hold one of the following: RCIS, RTR VI, RTR CV, or RTR CI, or be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.

Pay: Competitive hourly rate
Medical Specialty: Cath Lab
