Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at the Fairfax Medical Campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Inova Health System's Inventory Management systems effectively.
  • Assist RNs in explaining procedures to patients and families to alleviate anxiety.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and place service calls to Biomedical when necessary.
  • Anticipate procedure flow and collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality care.
  • Provide a safe environment and identify hazards immediately, following unit protocols to take corrective actions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and American Registered Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI).
  • Licensure: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist, if the position is located in a free-standing center not affiliated with an Inova Health System Hospital.
  • Experience: One year of work experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.
  • Education: Vocational/Technical in the area of study in Radiologic Technology; Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography; Associate or higher degree preferred.
