Position Overview
This role involves executing professional responsibilities at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center by delivering instruction on a course-by-course basis, without any assurance of ongoing employment. The position entails the management and teaching of one or more subjects within a defined curriculum. Instructors in this role typically focus on the academic field, professional area, or technical expertise relevant to their teaching assignment. Work is conducted under general oversight, with performance evaluated based on outcomes achieved. There may be opportunities to oversee junior staff assigned to the area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and assess student clinical learning experiences.
  • Engage in simulation-based and in-patient clinical learning activities with Traditional Undergraduate BSN students, as required.
  • Contribute to classroom instruction and oversee examinations, as needed.
  • Foster effective communication with students to enhance the learning process.
  • Exemplify professional conduct to support student development and integration.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of student records.
  • Exhibit academic integrity in all interactions with students and faculty.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the program.
Occasional Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN). Must possess or be eligible to obtain a nursing license in the State of Texas.
