**Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Antimicrobial Stewardship Program**

**Job Summary:**

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Antimicrobial Stewardship Program serves as a key member of the Care New England Health System Inc. team, working closely with Infectious Disease Physicians, Clinical Microbiologists, Infection Prevention Practitioners, Hospital Epidemiologist, and Obstetric Medicine to enhance antimicrobial stewardship.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize antimicrobial therapy and reduce antibiotic resistance
  • Develop and implement antimicrobial stewardship programs to improve patient outcomes
  • Provide clinical support to the Department of Medicine as a member of the Infectious Disease section
  • Conduct education and training programs for patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff on antimicrobial stewardship best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in antimicrobial stewardship and infectious disease

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
  • Registered Pharmacist in the State of Rhode Island or eligible for state licensure
  • Successful completion of Post Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) in Pharmacy Practice or Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS)
  • Post Graduate Year 2 (PGY2) in Infectious Disease Pharmacotherapy preferred
  • Advanced certification in Antimicrobial Stewardship (SIDP/MAD-ID) required
  • Board certification or board eligible in Infectious Disease (BSIDP) preferred
