POSITION SUMMARY:

DICK'S SPORTING GOODS INC. is in search of a dedicated, people-oriented leader to manage store operations effectively.

The Retail Operations Supervisor is accountable for ensuring the highest standards of brand representation and operational excellence throughout the store. This role involves driving exceptional customer service experiences and prioritizing teammate coaching, development, and well-being while focusing on financial performance and strategic planning.

  • Directly oversees team members in the Operations Departments (e.g., Front End, Freight, and Operations) and collaborates with associates in other store areas when serving as Head Coach.
  • Ensures team members adhere to established operational guidelines, brand standards, customer service expectations, and company policies. Works closely with team members to assess their capabilities and readiness for advancement.
  • Monitors Operations Departments to meet all operational benchmarks, including compliance with scanning, claims, fulfillment, and cash handling procedures.
  • Ensures adherence to all company operational protocols, including cash handling and safety regulations, while conducting necessary audits.
  • Responsible for overseeing communication within the team to ensure tasks are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Manages back-office functions, including applicant processing, compliance with hiring regulations, and maintaining personnel records.
  • Participates in the hiring process for hourly team members, ensuring candidates are well-suited for their roles.
  • Facilitates comprehensive onboarding and training for new team members.
  • Handles performance management, including evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Drives customer engagement at the Front End by ensuring team members are actively interacting with every customer.
  • Manages payroll and scheduling to align with budgetary constraints and customer traffic patterns.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in retail management.
