Position Overview:
We are seeking a Hygiene Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic operations team. This role is pivotal in managing all sanitation processes within our food production facility, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership abilities, a comprehensive understanding of sanitation protocols in the food sector, and a proactive mindset towards maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and enforce sanitation policies and procedures that align with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee and mentor sanitation personnel, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external sanitation partners to uphold the highest cleanliness standards across our facilities.
  • Develop and manage annual sanitation budgets for materials and services.
  • Implement and maintain a Master Sanitation Program, including SSOPs, a master sanitation schedule, and chemical management.
  • Create tools and processes to validate effective cleaning and sanitation practices, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Engage with other departments regularly to promote overall operational success.
  • Take initiative in leading corrective actions when sanitation or safety issues arise.
  • Utilize your technical expertise to educate and train staff on best sanitation practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong financial insight and experience in budget management.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Adept at identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting sanitation challenges while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to inspire and guide teams to achieve their highest potential through coaching and support.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sanitation management or a related field, with strong leadership capabilities.
  • Demonstrated resilience in overcoming challenges and executing tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with industrial sanitation chemicals and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual abilities.
  • Experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
  • OSHA General Industry Certifications or training.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
