Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join their team in Lexington, Massachusetts. As a key member of the nursing staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual to work as a Mental Health Specialist in our psychiatric unit. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, participating in therapeutic milieu, and assisting Registered Nurses with various tasks.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including accurate documentation of patient information and maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
- Participate in therapeutic activities, such as planning and implementation of patient groups, recreation, and off-hall activities.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene needs, nutrition, and supervision during tests and exams.
- Maintain a commitment to professional growth and competency by completing mandatory in-service requirements and identifying areas for personal development.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in direct patient care, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, employee assistance programs, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
