Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Safety Technician to join our team in Hermiston, OR. As a Site Safety Technician, you will be responsible for enforcing safety protocols, conducting daily safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

Responsibilities
  • Enforce the use of safety equipment and clothing as required by OSHA, company safety regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Reinforce that team members on the project site are in compliance with safety requirements.
  • Ensure that appropriate safety records are maintained.
  • Investigate cause of incidents and complete reports as required.
  • Assist Site Manager in administrative counseling to team members and trade partners who are in non-compliance with safety requirements.
  • Hold safety meetings and jobsite reviews as part of coordination meetings.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and orientation and jobsite-specific training.
  • Responsible for the communication, implementation, and enforcement of NexGen's safety program on site.
Requirements
  • Up to five years of related experience.
  • OSHA 30 Hour card required.
  • Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications.

They are regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Indirectly manages trade partner safety personnel.
