Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Full-time Bilingual Patient Services Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that patients receive the support they need both over the phone and in person.

Key Responsibilities
As a Patient Services Coordinator, your duties will include:

  • Managing a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls, always identifying yourself and the organization.
  • Assisting patients and other callers by providing information or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Completing initial registration for new patients in accordance with established protocols.
  • Updating patient information in our electronic systems and ensuring all documentation is accurately recorded.
  • Following communication guidelines to address various inquiries effectively.
  • Identifying patient needs, clarifying information, and providing solutions or alternatives.
  • Navigating patient records to retrieve necessary information.
  • Maintaining an organized daily worklist to ensure efficient operations.
  • Verifying insurance coverage and other relevant patient information.
  • Processing payments and documenting financial arrangements as needed.
  • Monitoring appointment reminders and manually reaching out to patients when necessary.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A Medical Administration Certificate or two years of experience in a medical reception role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and basic office equipment.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish, English/Arabic, or English/Somali) are highly desirable.
  • Ability to adapt to various tasks and environments.
  • Strong communication skills and a courteous demeanor when interacting with patients and staff.
