Key Responsibilities

The Housing Rehabilitation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and implementing housing and rehabilitation services across designated regions. This role includes conducting housing inspections for various rehabilitation and development projects, ensuring compliance with program guidelines, Housing Quality Standards, and relevant regulations.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Performing thorough inspections of participant residences to verify adherence to program standards.
  • Managing individual housing program projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensuring participant satisfaction with approved projects, financing, and contractor services.
  • Preparing and submitting necessary reports while tracking project updates efficiently.
  • Executing additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Completion of one to two years of college or vocational training in construction, engineering, project management, or related fields is preferred.
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of single-family, rental, and multi-family housing construction management, including materials, techniques, and regulatory standards.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with participants, contractors, and community stakeholders.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks based on dynamic program needs.
  • Willingness to obtain necessary certifications related to lead, asbestos, and other relevant areas.
  • Ability to oversee construction progress and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure project completion within established guidelines.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings and training as required.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs independently.
