Position Overview

Role Summary

The individual will oversee financial practices, budgetary controls, cost management, and general accounting functions for the manufacturing facility.

  • Lead the month-end closing activities within a Shared Services framework, including the preparation and posting of selected journal entries. Ensure accuracy in internal financial reports prior to dissemination.
  • Analyze and present the plant's financial performance, trends, and key metrics on a monthly basis to both manufacturing and finance leadership.
  • Monitor and evaluate expenses, identifying and investigating the underlying factors (sales, production, absorption, product mix, adjustments, variance analysis). Assess manufacturing operations, material costs, capital expenditures, and site expenses.
  • Take ownership of the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Conduct financial modeling, scenario analysis, and ROI assessments to aid decision-making for senior management.
  • Collaborate with product divisions and frontline manufacturing teams to enhance profitability.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Show readiness to assume increasing responsibilities.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects and requests as necessary.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, reporting, and/or analysis.
  • At least 1 year of experience in cost accounting.
  • A minimum of 1 year providing financial guidance to P&L/business owners.
  • Proven experience in leading profit enhancement initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA degree.
  • CPA certification.
  • Experience in project management.
  • At least 3 years in an accounting role.
  • Familiarity with ERPs/tools such as SAP, Oracle, PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
