Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Laredo in Laredo, TX.

About the Role:

The CFO will be responsible for maximizing hospital financial performance by analyzing profitability, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing cost-saving measures. The successful candidate will also participate in financial reporting, supervise the preparation of financial reports, and develop employees through effective management practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Maximize hospital financial performance by analyzing profitability and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Participate in financial reporting and supervise the preparation of financial reports.
  • Develop employees through effective management practices and create a hospital climate that motivates employees to highest performance.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and federal and local tax regulations.
  • Knowledge of all business office and other administrative office operations, including registration, discharge, and terminal resolution of patient bills.
  • Knowledge of managed care and other payer processes and agreements.
  • Skilled at interpreting financial analysis and performance, preparing schedules and reports, and communicating ideas and facts effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other closely-related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant progressive financial experience, preferably with a healthcare organization.
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other closely-related field preferred with a minimum of 8 years of progressive financial experience required.
