Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Technical Specialist focused on Gasoline Combustion Engines to contribute to our innovative projects. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about cutting-edge powertrain technology and eager to engage in various development tasks that transition solutions from concept to realization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide a technical team in executing project objectives.
  • Enhance team member skills through mentorship and constructive feedback.
  • Conduct performance evaluations to support team development.
  • Ensure adherence to company values while providing administrative support to the technical team.
  • Outline project scopes, timelines, and testing strategies.
  • Oversee engine and chassis dynamometer tests to evaluate performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions of new technologies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide technical insights and support.
  • Identify and specify necessary test instrumentation and methodologies for engine testing.
  • Perform comprehensive data analysis, guiding subsequent actions while maintaining project schedules.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports and technical presentations for stakeholders.
  • Mentor engineering peers to enhance technical capabilities within the organization.
  • Engage in client meetings and assist in developing technical project proposals.
  • Work alongside design and simulation engineers to define performance attributes for new engine initiatives.
  • Collaborate with control systems engineers to establish performance-related control software algorithms.
  • Compile and deliver final project reports that interpret data and summarize significant findings.
  • Contribute to the refinement of testing methods and protocols.
  • Participate in the creation of technical publications.
  • Adhere to and promote quality policies as per ISO standards.
  • Encourage initiatives that foster team collaboration and development.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in calibration and/or powertrain development.
  • Strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and internal combustion engine principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of the SI combustion process.
  • Familiarity with base engine, aftertreatment, and hybrid electronic control strategies, including software logic implementation.
  • Experience with calibration and development tools such as ETAS INCA, ATI Vision, Vector CANape/CANalyzer, and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Proven experience in leading technical project teams and mentoring colleagues.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective communication skills in both oral and written English.
  • A proactive team player ready to thrive in a dynamic development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of control strategies used in Bosch and/or GPEC controllers.
  • Understanding of hybrid powertrain systems.
  • Experience in aftertreatment system calibration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US emission regulations and certification testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with US OBD regulations and monitoring techniques.
  • Exposure to hybrid system controls.
  • Hands-on experience with engine assembly or rebuilding.
  • US citizenship or Permanent Residency is advantageous.
