The Inpatient Psychiatric Clinician plays a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients on the psychiatric inpatient units. This position requires strong assessment and treatment planning skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify patients' emotional and social needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient progress and well-being
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication
- Provide education and support to patients and families to empower them in their recovery journey
- Identify and report cases of abuse and neglect, ensuring timely and comprehensive consultations
- Utilize Social Work and Mental Health Counseling techniques to assist patients and families in coping with illness
- Assist patients in securing outpatient services and maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide clinical supervision to department personnel and comply with regulatory requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
- Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- One to two years of on-the-job training in Social Work/Mental Health Counseling
