Starting Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Opportunity Summary:

This part-time role within the Child Welfare Division entails up to 25 hours of work weekly, including at least four shifts, with a requirement for availability every other Saturday. The schedule may fluctuate to accommodate the needs of the Foster Care Program, potentially including evenings and weekends. The Family Support Worker plays a crucial role in facilitating family interactions for those involved in the foster care system due to circumstances of abuse or neglect. These interactions, referred to as Family Time, are structured opportunities for parents to connect with their children.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a High School Diploma and demonstrate a solid understanding of child development. They should be adept at building rapport with children, parents, and caregivers, providing guidance in a nurturing and empathetic manner. A valid driver's license, insurance, and access to a safe, operational vehicle during work hours are essential.
