Opportunity Details:
This is a part-time role within the Child Welfare Division, offering up to 25 hours of work per week, including at least four shifts, with a requirement for availability every other Saturday. Work hours may vary to align with the needs of the Foster Care Program, potentially including evenings, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays. The Family Support Worker plays a crucial role in the Foster Care Program by coordinating family time for those involved in the foster care system due to circumstances of abuse or neglect. Family Time refers to structured parenting interactions designed to strengthen the bond between parents and their children.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The preferred candidate will possess a minimum of a High School Diploma and demonstrate a solid understanding of child development. They should be capable of establishing rapport with children, parents, and caregivers while providing guidance in a nurturing and supportive manner. Additionally, a valid driver's license, insurance, and access to a safe, operational vehicle during work hours are essential.
