Job Title: Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT Technologist

At Shields Health Care Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes in specific body areas and body products.
  • Inform patients of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
  • Follow all Shields Health Care Group policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
  • Perform all hot lab responsibilities and ensure patient clearance of all contraindications and hazards.
  • Accurately position patients and ensure their comfort during exams.
  • Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program and provide films when appropriate.
  • Forward PET-related data to Radiologist upon completion of exams.
Requirements:
  • State license for the state(s) in which employed to work.
  • Certification in CPR.
  • Registration by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.
  • A minimum of one-year prior nuclear medicine experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
