Job Title:

Nuclear Med/PET Technologist

Job Summary:

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a skilled Nuclear Med/PET Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and producing accurate diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate PET equipment to produce high-quality images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes.
  • Inform patients of all aspects of their exam and ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Position patients accurately and maintain visual and verbal contact during exams.
  • Record patient data and complete all necessary forms.
  • Assist clerical staff as needed and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
  • State license to practice in the state(s) of employment.
  • CPR certification.
  • Registration by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.
  • Minimum of one year of prior nuclear medicine experience.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods, assist patients with mobility difficulties, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds.

Interactions:

Extensive interactions with patients, families, referring community, and other SHC employees, as well as regular interactions with contractors, vendors, and medical transport personnel.
