Role Summary

We are seeking a Chief of Medical Unit who will be responsible for overseeing the diagnosis and ongoing management of patients enrolled in our clinics.

This role reports directly to the Medical Director and is integral to the Operations - Medical unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and periodically assess the deployment of medical personnel, including physician assistants and nursing staff, in medication dispensing and primary care.
  • Ensure all medical staff are proficient in essential medical procedures, such as venipuncture and EKGs.
  • Conduct patient evaluations, utilizing clinical histories and laboratory data while adhering to established treatment standards.
  • Promote health and prevent disease through vaccinations and counseling on dietary and hygiene practices.
  • Provide emergency care to patients and staff as needed.
  • Assist in clinical research initiatives undertaken by the division.
  • Participate in annual medical meetings and monthly reviews of medication dispensing practices.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the medical clinic, implementing strategies to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Head Nurse to ensure timely scheduling of regular patient examinations.
  • Engage in activities aimed at improving care quality, staff productivity, and patient satisfaction.
