Job Description

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Shipyard Engine Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our shipyard crew, you will be responsible for installing and repairing marine engines, equipment, and hydraulic systems.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities. You will work closely with our experienced team to diagnose and repair complex issues, ensuring that our vessels are safe and seaworthy.

Responsibilities

  • Install and repair marine engines, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems
  • Dismantle and assemble engine components
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns
  • Work safely in a fast-paced shipyard environment

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in marine equipment repair or a related field
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights
  • Valid driver's license
