Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Distribution & Transportation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine repairs and preventative maintenance on all equipment and systems within our distribution centers.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all equipment and facilities are operating effectively and efficiently to support our operations.
- Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on all equipment and systems as necessary.
- Enter work into our computer maintenance system to track and analyze repeat repairs and previous work performed.
- Troubleshoot and assist other mechanics when performing work on systems and equipment.
- Meet evaluation standards on work orders and observations to assess and evaluate skill level and proficiency within the maintenance department.
- Provide guidance and training to Maintenance Support Associates.
- Remain proficient in maintenance trade and stay current with today's technology through training courses and classes.
- Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or center to maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Successful completion of assessment evaluation to demonstrate experience and proficiency in areas or tasks assigned.
- Minimal experience, expertise, and proficiency in essential functions such as safety, electrical, refrigeration, material handling, mechanical, welding, fire systems, and domestic water/waste water.
- Ability to supply own tools to complete required work.
- Prior experience in mechanical areas.
- Certified on powered industrial equipment where applicable.
- Familiarity/experience in maintenance environment.
