Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a skilled Boiler Operator to join our team. As a key member of our plant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our heating, cooling, compression, and water systems. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations, as well as ensuring accurate reporting to relevant agencies. Key responsibilities include performing daily boiler operation and maintenance, monitoring refrigeration, air compressors, and sewer systems, and documenting and reading meters to ensure accurate reporting. You will also be responsible for completing weekly and monthly inspections of the facility and equipment, notifying the maintenance department of any repairs needed, and assisting with repair work as required. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining safe working conditions for employees and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as 2-4 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC or related fields. Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is preferred. Boiler Certification and/or License are required during the course of employment. Dairy Farmers of America is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
