Role Description: The Custom Applicator at UFC is an integral member of our agronomy services team, tasked with the safe and effective application of crop protection and nutrient products across our members' agricultural fields. This role involves operating and maintaining application machinery, ensuring precise product distribution, and adhering to our principles of environmental stewardship and customer satisfaction.
Key Duties:
- Safe Machinery Operation: Operate and maintain application equipment, such as sprayers and spreaders, ensuring the safe and efficient application of agricultural inputs.
- Product Distribution: Apply crop protection agents, fertilizers, and other agronomic products in accordance with product specifications, agronomist guidance, and UFC standards.
- Equipment Upkeep: Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on application machinery to guarantee optimal functionality and safety.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of applied products, field locations, and equipment maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Client Interaction: Effectively communicate with farmers, agronomists, and other UFC personnel to coordinate applications, address inquiries, and deliver outstanding service.
- Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, regulations, and environmental practices, fostering a culture of safety and compliance within the team and among clients.
- Ongoing Development: Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in agronomy and custom application services to improve productivity and service quality.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in agriculture or a related field is preferred.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker and hazardous materials endorsements.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons, including weekends and holidays.
