The Role


As QuidelOrtho continues to expand, we are in search of an SAP Analyst - Basis Administrator who will take charge of the design, development, implementation, support, and maintenance of QuidelOrtho's SAP environments.

This role involves daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and collaboration with QuidelOrtho's SAP Center of Excellence teams on various projects.

In return, you will gain exposure and experience with SAP on HANA, AWS, ECC to S/4 migrations, and some of SAP's latest cloud-based solutions, all while being part of a team that values information sharing, shared responsibilities, and a balanced work-life dynamic.


Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and technical disaster recovery of SAP Basis environments, including Unix DB2, Wintel with SQL Server, and Linux/AWS & HANA setups.
- Collaborate with the team on SAP system upgrades within ECC and transitioning to S/4.
- Develop and implement processes for SAP performance and maintenance monitoring, analyzing data for optimization opportunities.
- Assist application and development teams in resolving performance-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with corporate practices regarding changes, prioritizing and scheduling them appropriately.
- Undertake additional work-related tasks as assigned.

The Individual

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technology field.

- 3-5 years of experience in the IT industry, specifically in designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and performing SAP administration and tuning activities.

- Familiarity with the Medical Device/Life Sciences sector is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0, BW & BOBJ, and CRM.
- Experience with SAP system upgrades within ECC and transitioning to S/4.

- Ability to maintain and assist in the design and deployment of SAP systems impacting business processes and users at global locations.

- Proficient in computer skills, including hardware, software, and networking knowledge.
- Competent in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.

The Work Environment

No strenuous physical activity is required, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials may be necessary.

Approximately 30% of the time will be spent in meetings, collaborating with the team, or on phone calls, while 70% will be dedicated to desk work on a computer, performing analytical tasks.

Minimal travel is required, including air and automobile travel, as well as overnight stays.

Salary Transparency


The salary range for this position considers various factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, and candidate abilities, alongside internal equity and market alignment.

At QuidelOrtho, it is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range for their role, as compensation decisions depend on the specific circumstances of each case.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000 and is eligible for bonuses.

QuidelOrtho provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick leave), and paid holidays.
