Staff Development Coordinator Job Summary:

As a Staff Development Coordinator at BridgePoint Healthcare, you will play a vital role in coordinating and conducting orientation for new hires and identifying the educational needs of our facility. This position requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and conduct orientation for all new facility hires
  • Identify and implement educational programs to meet the needs of nursing staff
  • Function as an educator and facilitator for all nursing staff
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement staff development initiatives
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing with current registered nurse license
  • BSN preferred
  • A Registered Nurse licensed to practice nursing in the District of Columbia
  • Must maintain current provider CPR certification throughout employment
  • Minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent nursing experience
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience in long-term care with one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity
