Staff Development Coordinator Job Summary:

The Staff Development Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the success of our nursing staff by coordinating and conducting orientation programs, identifying learning needs, and implementing and evaluating educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and conduct orientation programs for new hires
  • Identify and address learning needs of nursing staff
  • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance nursing skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing with current registered nurse license
  • BSN preferred
  • A minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent nursing experience
  • A minimum of two years of nursing experience in long-term care with one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity
