About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Client Service Consultant to join our Property & Casualty team at Holmes Murphy & Associates. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling a book of business for assigned clients, evaluating their needs and risks, and assisting them in creating an insurance program tailored to their specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service: Independently perform daily tasks to efficiently manage client service, including renewal marketing and placement of insurance for assigned clients, as well as responding to daily client service needs.
  • Account Management: Work accounts start to finish, with support from Client Service Specialists and/or Client Managers as needed.
  • Policy Administration: Prepare certificates, binders, auto ID cards, and accident kits, and attend insurance carrier meetings.
  • Policy Changes: Order policy changes from carriers, update computer systems, and set follow-up activities.
  • Endorsements: Process endorsements by checking coverages, invoices, and updating client management systems.
  • Follow-up Activities: Keep follow-up activities current and review, process, and summarize audits.
  • Investigations: Investigate and correct omitted items and commission differences on audits and endorsements.
  • Account Accuracy: Ensure account and policy accuracy by verifying customer information and items received from carriers.
  • Reporting: Maintain monthly reporting forms and take ownership of accounts.
  • Team Collaboration: Meet with team members for pre-renewal meetings on qualifying accounts and development of client opportunities.
  • Client Renewals: Attend client renewal meetings, consult with clients on coverage needs, and participate in contract reviews.
  • Market Research: Market renewal policies, negotiate with insurance company underwriters, and review quotes for accuracy.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare proposal documents for clients, including PSR, schedules, applications, experience mod worksheets, loss runs, and summaries.
  • Invoice Processing: Invoice agency bill transactions for new and renewal policies, monthly installments, endorsements, and audits.
  • Team Support: Develop and maintain positive work relationships with team members, provide backup when needed, and communicate information effectively.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Train and mentor Client Service Specialists, provide direction on shared accounts, and share knowledge through various platforms.
  • Special Projects: Perform special projects and other duties as requested.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred. Active state-specific Property Casualty Insurance agent's license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire.
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of customer service, underwriting, or risk management experience in the insurance industry.
