On-Site Technical Support Engineer

Position Summary:The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role in delivering both on-site and remote technical assistance for our TomoTherapy and CyberKnife systems. This position is vital for the effective management and resolution of equipment issues, ensuring that our customers receive timely support.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide installation, repair, and maintenance services for TomoTherapy and CyberKnife systems at designated customer locations.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt responses to inquiries and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain regular updates with management and field personnel regarding customer-related matters.
- Self-manage work schedules and prioritize urgent customer needs to optimize satisfaction.
- Deliver support remotely and on-site, depending on the situation and customer requirements.
- Document all work activities thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Review customer issues to ensure safety and performance concerns are communicated for appropriate action.
- Assist in training other support staff and customer personnel as necessary.
- Manage parts inventory and ensure the prompt return of replaced components.
- Complete expense reports for field service activities and training as required.
- Contribute to the development of service documentation and support tools.
- Maintain company vehicles in accordance with company policies.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% outside of the assigned service area.
Provide insights for service-related product enhancements and assist in the development and testing of service tools.
Qualifications:Applicants should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in field service, installation, and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems, or hold a relevant bachelor's degree with less experience considered. Candidates must demonstrate strong self-management skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in system-level troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in large medical device field service is highly desirable. A background in engineering or military service is a plus, along with knowledge of medical linear accelerators and computer networks.
