Position Summary:

The Microsoft 365 Solutions Engineer will play a pivotal role in assisting organizations with their transition to Microsoft 365 or the enhancement of their existing services. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, along with demonstrated skills in service configuration and troubleshooting. This role involves hands-on implementation tasks and support for Microsoft 365 migrations, encompassing design, architecture, configuration, and best practices to ensure operational success. The engineer will collaborate closely with Project Managers and Lead Engineers to gather requirements, design solutions, and execute migrations, all while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Strong communication, creativity, and teamwork skills are essential for this position, as the engineer will engage directly with clients and internal teams throughout the implementation process.

Key Technical Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Experience in migrating various business units into a unified Office 365 environment.
  • Administrative expertise with Microsoft Office 365's suite, including Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and OneDrive.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, and Azure AD implementations.
  • Knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and configuring Exchange servers (2010, 2013, 2016, 2019) and Exchange Online.
  • Administrative and configuration skills in Active Directory.
  • Experience in setting up and configuring Windows Server.
  • Familiarity with Exchange Online Protection.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage O365 tenant creation, licensing modifications, and email security implementations.
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of complex Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on intricate implementations.
  • Oversee user access and account management.
  • Administer Microsoft Office 365 cloud technologies, including Azure, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Engage in ongoing training regarding updates to O365 products.
  • Develop and maintain governance documentation in partnership with product owners and senior engineers.
  • Maintain PowerShell scripts for managing the O365 environment across multiple applications.
  • Work with IT and external teams for application integration supporting Office 365 solutions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting complex technical issues faced by users.
  • Provide technical support to ensure uptime as per IT standards.
  • Address production issues encountered by O365 users.
  • Be available for on-call and after-hours migration tasks.
Qualifications:
  • A college degree or equivalent experience (3+ years).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
  • Flexibility in work hours.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate are advantageous.
Desired Attributes:
  • Proven experience with Exchange servers (2013, 2016, 2019) and Exchange Hybrid configurations.
  • Competence in Windows servers and Active Directory.
  • Ability to self-manage effectively during projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience in project-based work.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, internet usage, and Microsoft Office suite.
Team Dynamics:

This role requires collaboration within a cooperative team environment while also allowing for independent work. The engineer will interact with various departments and diverse personalities.
