Job Summary:


The Microsoft 365 Cloud Solutions Engineer will play a crucial role in assisting organizations with their transition to Microsoft 365 or enhancements to their existing services.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, along with demonstrated skills in service configuration and troubleshooting. Familiarity with on-premises Exchange and Active Directory services is essential.

This engineer will engage in hands-on implementation tasks and support Microsoft 365 migrations, focusing on design, architecture, configuration, and best practices to meet operational objectives.

Collaboration with Project Managers and Lead Engineers will be vital in gathering requirements, designing solutions, and executing migrations while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Strong creative, communication, and teamwork skills are necessary, as the engineer will closely interact with end customers, Lead Cloud Engineers, and the Project Management Office (PMO) for all new implementations. The position is pivotal in enhancing the customer experience both before and after implementation.

The engineer will serve as a technical escalation point for customers undergoing migrations, providing assistance and support as needed.


Technical Skill Requirements:

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Experience in migrating multiple business units into a unified Office 365 environment.
- Administrative expertise with Microsoft Office 365's Cloud suite, including Office, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and OneDrive.
- Experience in implementing Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, and Azure AD.
- Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) implementation.
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting and configuring Exchange versions 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, and Exchange Hybrid servers, as well as Exchange Online.
- Administrative and configuration knowledge of Active Directory.
- Hands-on setup and configuration experience with Windows Server.
- Experience with Exchange Online Protection.

Duties and Responsibilities:
(Essential Duties include but are not limited to):

- Oversee O365 tenant creation, licensing adjustments, and email security implementations.
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of complex Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange solutions.
- Collaborate with peers and senior engineers on intricate implementations.
- Manage user access and accounts effectively.
- Administer Microsoft Office 365 cloud technologies, including Azure, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune.
- Engage in continuous self-training on O365 updates related to Microsoft releases.
- Develop, maintain, and update O365 governance documentation in partnership with product owners and senior implementation engineers.
- Maintain PowerShell scripts for managing and supporting the O365 environment across multiple applications.
- Collaborate with IT and external teams for the integration of applications that support Office 365 solutions.
- Assist staff in troubleshooting complex technical issues faced by internal and external customers.
- Provide technical support and ensure uptime as defined by IT standards.
- Address production issues experienced by O365 users.
- Be available for on-call and after-hours migration tasks.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE & OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Educational & Skills Requirements:
- A college degree or equivalent work experience (3+ years).
- Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and editorial skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and direction.
- Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation schedule.
- Flexible working hours.
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate certifications are advantageous.

Needed Attributes:
- Proven experience with Exchange 2013, 2016, and 2019, as well as Exchange Hybrid servers.
- Competence with Windows servers and Active Directory.
- Ability to self-manage effectively during projects.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience working within project environments.
- Proficiency in computer usage, internet navigation, and Microsoft Office applications.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also performing tasks independently. This role requires interaction with various departments and diverse personalities.
