Position Overview:
The Microsoft 365 Solutions Engineer will play a crucial role in assisting organizations with their transition to Microsoft 365 and enhancing their existing services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, along with proven skills in service configuration and troubleshooting. This role involves hands-on implementation tasks and support for Microsoft 365 migrations, including design, architecture, configuration, and best practices to meet operational objectives. The engineer will collaborate closely with Project Managers and Lead Engineers to gather requirements, design solutions, and execute migrations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage O365 tenant creation, licensing adjustments, and email security protocols.
- Engage in the implementation and maintenance of complex Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange solutions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on intricate implementations.
- Oversee user access and account management.
- Administer Microsoft Office 365 cloud technologies, including Azure, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Stay updated on O365 changes and Microsoft releases for all products.
- Develop and maintain governance documentation in partnership with product owners and senior engineers.
- Maintain PowerShell scripts for managing the O365 environment across multiple applications.
- Coordinate with IT and external teams for application integration supporting Office 365 solutions.
- Provide technical support and resolve complex issues for internal and external customers.
- Ensure uptime and address production issues as per IT standards.
- Be available for on-call and after-hours migration tasks.
- A college degree or equivalent experience (3+ years).
- Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Flexibility in work hours.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or Messaging Administrator Associate are advantageous.
- Experience with Exchange 2013, 2016, and 2019, including Hybrid servers.
- Competence in Windows servers and Active Directory.
- Ability to self-manage effectively during projects.
- Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office applications.
This position operates in a fast-paced, high-energy environment that may involve high levels of stress due to tight deadlines and the need for rapid responses. Team collaboration and autonomy are essential, as the role requires interaction with various departments and personalities.
