We are looking for a motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role involves conducting various inspections, testing, and generating plans, specifications, and reports for our clients. It is a technical and managerial role that entails delivering solutions and overseeing projects through all phases, including feasibility studies, conceptual design, schematic design, construction documentation, and project administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead small to medium-scale HVAC projects and implement mechanical engineering initiatives.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of mechanical engineering design standards, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate and manage project meetings, ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Monitor schedules and ensure compliance with project timelines.
- Conduct on-site inspections, documenting conditions, performing field tests, and ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Maintain organized records and files for easy access and future reference.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with industry trends.
Technical Expertise:
- Utilize technical skills to support architectural and engineering design processes.
- Perform calculations and create CAD drawings.
- Conduct inspections and data collection to identify root causes of issues.
- Prepare detailed field reports and expert analyses based on findings.
Client Relations:
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of five years of experience in MEP consulting and design engineering.
- Professional Engineer license required.
- OSHA-10 Certification preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
