Position Overview

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in building systems design, particularly in multifamily residential, mixed-use high-rise, hospitality, and commercial sectors. This role involves conducting various inspections, testing, and generating plans, specifications, and reports for our clients. It is a technical and managerial role that entails delivering solutions and overseeing projects through all phases, including feasibility studies, conceptual design, schematic design, construction documentation, and project administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead small to medium-scale HVAC projects and implement mechanical engineering initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of mechanical engineering design standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.

Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate and manage project meetings, ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
  • Monitor schedules and ensure compliance with project timelines.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, documenting conditions, performing field tests, and ensuring adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain organized records and files for easy access and future reference.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with industry trends.

Technical Expertise:
  • Utilize technical skills to support architectural and engineering design processes.
  • Perform calculations and create CAD drawings.
  • Conduct inspections and data collection to identify root causes of issues.
  • Prepare detailed field reports and expert analyses based on findings.

Client Relations:
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in MEP consulting and design engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license required.
  • OSHA-10 Certification preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
