IT Project Management Director

The IT PMO Director at Bob's Discount Furniture is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the Project Management Office (PMO) within the IT department.

This individual will report directly to the CIO and be responsible for managing larger programs, ensuring effective communication, and aligning project initiatives with the overall IT strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of infrastructure, technical architecture, and application architecture, as well as experience in IT project management, program management, and PMO leadership roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee larger programs and manage multiple projects and work streams
  • Consolidate projects into a comprehensive plan for reporting, monitoring, and communication
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and business partners to ensure project cadence, execution, and alignment with business objectives
  • Identify potential project challenges, assess risks, and propose remediation action plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 10+ years within IT
  • 3+ years prior PMO experience
  • Extensive experience in IT project management, program management, and PMO leadership roles
