Quality Assurance Specialist

We at Crate and Barrel are committed to delivering exceptional quality products to our customers. As a Quality Assurance Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every product we sell meets our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit inbound and outbound vendor shipments for construction, quality, consistency, packaging, and labeling.
- Conduct random sampling methods, document findings, and communicate with Merchandising to determine acceptable quality levels and the best course of action for resolution of issues.
- Communicate characteristics versus quality issues to the Furniture Shop, Distribution Center, and cross-dock associates and support a collaborative decision-making process for furniture determinations.
- Process all return-to-vendor to recoup lost dollars.
- Move merchandise, supplies, and/or boxes repetitively.
- Follow the loss prevention and security guidelines to minimize inventory shrinkage and profit loss.
- Promote a culture of respect and an atmosphere of teamwork in order to foster a positive working environment.
- Abide by the established dependability guidelines to maintain business productivity.
- Adhere to company safety guidelines to prevent personal injury and product and facility damage.
- Listen actively and effectively.
- Clearly communicate in both verbal and written form.
- Establish open and two-way conversation with all associates.
- Maintain and enhance the self-esteem of others.
- Ask for and give clear and constructive feedback.
Requirements:
- Ability to move and/or lift up to 65 pounds; heavier merchandise with team assistance.
- Proven proficiency in English language skills.
- Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge required.
- Must work effectively as a team member.
- Basic math required.
- Previous furniture experience preferred.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.
- Understanding of the AS400 system preferred.
- Equipment certification as needed.
