Job Title: Child Development Specialist

At St. Vincent de Paul Village, we're seeking a compassionate and skilled Child Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide classroom oversight and instruction to children of all ages, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Deliver care and supervision to children, adhering to all licensing regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop behavioral plans and support children's growth and development.
  • Evaluate children's development and growth, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance their well-being.
  • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that promote children's growth and resiliency.
  • Complete monthly assessments on individual children, tracking their progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Update reports and data in our database, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the overall mission and goals of our organization.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 12 units of child development coursework, including child growth and development, family/child and community, infant/toddler development, and curriculum courses.
  • One year of experience as a teacher in a licensed childcare center.
  • First Aid & CPR-Pediatric certification.
  • Basic user of MS Office.
  • Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check upon employment.
  • Be at least 21 years of age, have a valid in-state driver's license, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years.
  • Annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings when necessary.
