Job Summary

The Child Development Specialist is a key member of our pediatric primary care team, working closely with families and providers to provide interventions, referrals, and follow-up for children ages 0-5 years. This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood growth and development, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide interventions, referrals, and follow-up for families with patients ages 0-5 years
  • Build strong relationships with families and providers to increase the efficiency of the medical system and support team-based comprehensive care
  • Collaborate with the pediatric primary care team to develop and implement care plans for children with complex needs
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood development and family support
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, early childhood education, or relevant field
  • Experience and knowledge in early childhood growth and development, parent-child relational health, infant and early childhood mental health, and family systems
  • Bilingual Spanish both written and verbal
  • Availability to travel and/or occasionally work outside of normal shifts
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have California Driver License, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or early childhood education
  • Clinically licensed mental health professional
