We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to support our mission at NAS Jacksonville. As a key member of our team, you will provide care for patients utilizing proper infection control and safety techniques as planned and/or ordered.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in a variety of treatment modalities, including biofeedback, stress management, and group therapy.
  • Provide care for patients, documenting per policy and notifying the mental health provider or nurse in charge of any abnormal or unusual findings in a timely manner.
  • Present or facilitate health and wellness programs, including stress management, suicide intervention, and smoking cessation.
  • Provide care to mentally ill or emotionally disturbed patients and participate in rehabilitation and treatment programs.
  • Perform diagnostic support duties, including drawing blood for lab studies, collecting and labeling specimens, taking vital signs, and assisting the doctor in diagnostic examinations.
Requirements
  • Psiychiatric Technician/Mental Health Tech Certification
  • 1 year of relevant experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • US Citizen
  • NACI background check
