Job Title: Mental Health Specialist

At Choctaw Global, we are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing behavioral health services to active duty Special Operations personnel, retired military members, and their families.

Responsibilities:

* Provide a spectrum of behavioral health interventions, including interviewing, behavioral assessment, and evidenced-based therapies in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological and neuropsychological disorders.
* Implement policies, conduct screenings, clinical counseling, and case management services, and prevention programming.
* Serve as a point of contact for behavioral health services and provide a spectrum of behavioral health interventions.
* Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts as required.

Requirements:

* Possess a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy.
* Maintain a current, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
* Ability to obtain and maintain either a Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance.
* Have and maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) as certified by the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Prior military and/or SOF experience.
* Experience working in a Government setting such as DOD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF.
* Prior experience in Substance Abuse/Disorder Treatment.

Scope:

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is a Combatant Command of the Department of Defense (DoD) that commands all Special Operations Forces (SOF) and all Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs). USSOCOM synchronizes the planning of special operations and provides SOF to support persistent, networked, and distributed Global Combatant Command (GCC) operations, to protect and advance our Nation's interests.

Physical Domain:

The Physical domain is designed to meet the unique physical and nutritional needs of the SOF operator. This is accomplished through holistic pre-habilitative and rapid recovery physical training programs, developed and led by certified professionals that involve focused strength and conditioning, performance nutrition, and Sports Medicine.

Psychological Domain:

The Psychological domain is improving the mental and behavioral performance of the force. Important aspects of this include helping service members cope with stress and improving the resiliency of SOF and their families.

Cognitive Domain:

The Cognitive Domain is designed to enhance, monitor, advance, and protect the cognitive health and performance of SOF to meet operational demands now and in the future.

Social/Family Domain:

The Social/Family domain incorporates family resilience programs designed to enhance Service-specific programs. Families must continuously remain focused on maintaining a close-knit, consistent link to their support networks.

Required Skills/Training:

* Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
* Must comply with Safety, Health and Environmental plan, policies and procedures.
* Must comply with the Quality Assurance plan, policies and procedures.
* Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance.
* Responsible for completing all required training.

Desired Experience, Skills or Training:

* Prior military and/or SOF experience.
* Experience working in a Government setting such as DOD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF.
* Prior experience in Substance Abuse/Disorder Treatment.

Specific Requirements:

Performance under this contract may require staff ride on watercraft, aircraft, and other vehicles utilized by special operation units to accomplish their missions. This first-hand experience and observation would provide staff a better understanding of unit member's physical and mental environment. This experience would assist the contract staff in providing targeted/tailored support services.

Responsibilities:

The MHC shall function within an operational unit, as a Behavioral Health Care Provider. The MHC shall attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours, professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities such as, but not limited to the following: quality improvement meetings, professional staff meetings, commander's staff meetings, and other meetings required by applicable regulations or as directed by the unit Commander of his/her designee.

Scope:

The POTFF program, directly under the USSOCOM Commander, was established to build and implement a holistic approach to address the pressure on our force. The POTFF will identify and implement innovative, valuable solutions across the SOF enterprise aimed at improving the short- and long-term well-being of our SOF warriors and their families.
