Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Food and Beverage Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests by taking and delivering orders for food and drinks, ensuring a delightful dining experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes guests as they are seated, ensuring the table is tidy and that all necessary items are available.
  • Distributes menus and highlights the daily specials.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding menu items.
  • Records food and beverage orders and communicates them to the kitchen staff.
  • Serves food, drinks, condiments, and any other requested items to patrons.
  • Verifies that meals are prepared to the guests' specifications; returns any incorrect or unsatisfactory orders to the kitchen.
  • Clears tables as guests finish their meals.
  • Prepares checks and processes payments.
  • Assists with various restaurant duties, including maintaining cleanliness in the dining area and organizing utensils and condiments.
  • Performs additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Abilities:

Outstanding interpersonal and customer service abilities.

Highly organized with the capability to accurately take and relay food and beverage orders.

Proficient in operating point-of-sale systems.

Education and Experience:

Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.

Prior experience in a serving role is preferred.

Completion of the restaurant's training program is required.

Physical Demands:

Extended periods of standing and walking are necessary.

Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
