Job Title: Food and Beverage Operations Manager

Job Overview:

The Food and Beverage Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage services at The Wisconsin Country Club. This includes managing staff, maintaining quality standards, ensuring customer satisfaction, and optimizing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise food and beverage staff to ensure they meet the high standards of service.
    • Schedule and allocate tasks to ensure efficient operation and maximize productivity.
    • Handle disciplinary issues and motivate the team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Service Standards:
    • Ensure that all food and beverage services meet or exceed established quality and service standards, providing an exceptional dining experience for members and guests.
    • Develop and implement wine service and knowledge programs to enhance the overall dining experience.
    • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene in dining and service areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
    • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers.
  • Customer Satisfaction:
    • Interact with customers to obtain feedback and address concerns, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
    • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally, providing a positive experience.
    • Implement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience, including menu development and service improvements.
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor and control expenses to maximize profitability, ensuring the food and beverage department operates within budget.
    • Prepare budgets and financial reports for the food and beverage department, providing insights for future growth.
    • Implement cost-control measures without compromising quality, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
    • Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed, minimizing waste and maximizing profitability.
    • Control stock levels to ensure efficient operation and minimize losses.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries, maintaining strong relationships.
  • Event Coordination:
    • Coordinate and oversee special events, banquets, and catering services, ensuring seamless execution.
    • Collaborate with event planners and clients to ensure successful events, meeting their expectations.
    • Ensure all staff are well-prepared for events, providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences.
  • Training and Development:
    • Provide ongoing training to staff on service standards and procedures, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations, applying knowledge to improve operations.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging growth and development.
    Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of wine and elevated service of beverages, with the ability to develop and implement wine service programs.
    • Knowledge of service standards and ability to enforce them, ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
    • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the food and beverage industry, with a track record of success.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage staff.
    • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations, with the ability to implement and enforce them.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business.
