Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) Opportunity at UHS Binghamton General Hospital
United Health Services is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Binghamton Internal Medicine department at UHS Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible.
Shift: Day
Hours Per Week: 40
Salary Range: $115,300 - $135,600 Annually
The UHS Pediatrics Binghamton Medical Center is looking to add a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to our Pediatric group practice. This is a full-time, exempt position and we are seeking an experienced Pediatric NP or a new graduate with Pediatric Nurse Practitioner training.
The NP will provide general medical care and treatment to patients in our medical facility, under the direction of a physician. They will perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of the physician. The NP will also order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general medical care and treatment to patients in our medical facility
- Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Record physical findings and formulate a plan and prognosis based on patient's condition
- Discuss cases with physician and other health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan
Requirements:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
- Possession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number
- Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
- Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Possession of Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD) Number
Work Environment:
- All work is performed in offices and patient examination rooms that require working in close quarters with other employees and patients
- PPE is used as required by Infection Control policies

HIPAA Roles-Based Access to Patient Information: All - Access to patient information, including restricted information - Level 4
