Nail Technician Job Description

At Kingsmill Resort, we are seeking a skilled Nail Technician to provide exceptional nail services to our guests. As a key member of our spa team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality experience that exceeds our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide manicures and pedicures to guests, including filing, buffing, trimming, and polishing nails, as well as managing cuticles and smoothing and moisturizing the skin on hands and feet.
  • Ensure the nail area is safe, sanitized, and well-maintained, and report any issues to management.
  • Sanitize pedicure tubs after each use and maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Portion products for service and monitor product levels, placing orders with management as needed.
  • Provide Spa Kids Kamp services for campers and offer guests products used during service for sale.
  • Stay current with industry trends and be willing to learn new skills and take company-sponsored classes.
  • Make recommendations to management regarding purchases of new products and suggest items for retail sale.
  • Notify management of unsafe or malfunctioning equipment immediately and follow product and spa protocols.
  • Make guests comfortable and offer them a beverage to ensure a positive spa experience.
Requirements:
  • Possess the ability to deliver exemplary customer service and develop relationships with guests.
  • Possess the ability to be professional in appearance.
  • Ability to be dependable, punctual, and organized.
  • Possess physical stamina to perform all aspects of this position, including standing, sitting, squatting, stooping, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 40 lbs. for an 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to communicate with guests and members to determine their needs.
  • Ability to work well with little supervision.
  • Possess a Virginia Board for Barbers and Cosmetology Nail Technician-issued license.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of experience working in a nail salon, preferably in a resort or busy nail salon.
  • Retail sales experience a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
