Primary Responsibilities:
The Area Manager is accountable for overseeing all clinical operations within the designated region. This role encompasses managing employee performance, staffing, and front office functions, which include reception duties, mail distribution, large purchasing requests, inventory oversight, and facility management. Additionally, the Area Manager will coordinate office services and related activities, focusing on optimizing service and equipment utilization. It is essential to implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance across all assigned clinics.
Key Duties:
- Oversee clinic operations to meet quality metrics, control operational costs, and achieve budgeted EBITDA. Ensure clinics are adequately staffed and operational during scheduled hours and special events.
- Assist in maintaining the physical environment, ensuring all furnishings and equipment are functional. Recommend necessary capital expenditures and maintain records related to facilities and equipment.
- Ensure the clinic's exterior and interior are well-maintained and reflect the high standards of care provided.
- Resolve billing issues, approve financial refunds, and correct accounting discrepancies across multiple sites.
- Monitor supply inventories, ensuring that adequate stock levels are maintained at each clinic.
- Coordinate maintenance and vendor services for each location within the region.
- Develop and manage monthly staff schedules, review timecards, and contribute to payroll calculations for all clinics.
- Provide support in front-end registration and clinical tasks as needed during employee absences or high patient volumes.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff while monitoring their performance and productivity.
- Ensure that staff members are well-trained and equipped to fulfill their roles effectively.
- Enforce adherence to clinic policies and procedures, utilizing performance management strategies when necessary.
- Travel to various locations as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong planning and organizational abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prior training in HIPAA regulations, bloodborne pathogens, and emergency protocols.
- Proficient in common software applications, including Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email.
- Exceptional customer service skills for addressing escalated issues.
- Ability to lift approximately 15-20 lbs.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of one year in a supervisory or management role.
